GETTING MARRIED
AT ST. PAUL'S
Congratulations! We at St. Paul's are happy to share with you in the joy of getting married. Because of the need for stronger marriages today, St. Paul works hard as a church to do everything possible to help you with your wedding while emphasizing, even more so, the traits of a strong marriage. Our premarital emphasis provides the opportunity for you to learn and implement the keys to a lasting relationship while planning for a wonderful wedding celebration.

To help couples in this process, there are five things that we ask of couples as they begin planning for their marriage at St. Paul's:
- Premarital pastoral care consists of 4 sessions with Pastor before the wedding ceremony.
- Live apart until you are married. If you are currently living together, we would be glad to discuss with you God-pleasing ways to address the situation. It’s surprising to many that this one factor places couples in a category that makes divorce twice as likely.
- Plan wedding service details (including the date and music) with the Pastor. The fee for all pastoral services is $450.
- If possible, agree to attend Pastor's Class if you are not a member. While joining St. Paul's is not a requirement for both partners, the class allows you the opportunity to understand better the faith background of Lutheran Christians.
Your first steps in this process are to:
- Contact the Pastor about premarital counseling & set up an initial meeting.
- Check on available dates at that first meeting.
- Continue with the premarital process and have a great wedding and marriage.
